Spring Boot의 가장 큰 장점은 Starter만 하나 추가하면 나머지는 알아서 설정되므로 빠르게 개발할 수 있다는 점입니다. 에를 들어 REST 서비스를 제공하는 Tomcat 기반 웹 애플리케이션을 개발하고자 하는 경우 보통은 필요한 모든 dependency를 찾아서 POM에 추가하고, 설정을 진행해야 합니다. Starter는 이러한 작업을 자동으로 다 해주는 Spring Boot에서 제공하는 dependency입니다.
